Fan Hub Overview
Fan Hub is where you customize the fan portal — the signed-in home for everyone who buys from you, enrolls in a course, books a session, or joins a membership. You set your logo, colors, welcome copy, and which library sections appear in the sidebar. Fans and members open the portal at https://myflo.link/{your-username}/portal after they sign in.
This is not the same as the Membership Hub (Dashboard → Memberships → Open hub), where you publish posts, run DMs, and attach classroom content. Fan Hub controls look and navigation; the Membership Hub controls program content.
Creator plan requiredYou need Creator or above for memberships and the My Membership area in the portal. The portal itself also serves course, product, and booking buyers on any plan that offers those features.

Who uses the fan portal
| Person | How they get in | What they use |
|---|---|---|
| Member | Joins a membership tier (free or paid) | My Membership — posts, messages, classroom, live, billing — plus shared portal sections |
| Course student | Buys or enrolls in a course | My Courses (if you show it) |
| Customer | Buys a product | My Products (if you show it) |
| Booking client | Books a paid or free session | My Bookings (if you show it) |
| Anyone with a fan account | Signs in at your portal login | Home, Subscriptions, Privacy & data |
Fans vs subscribers vs members
Subscribers are on your email list for broadcasts — they do not automatically have a portal account. Fans are people who have signed in to your portal at least once (Flo creates a fan profile). Members are fans with an active (or past due) membership row for your program.
Fan Hub vs Membership Hub
| Fan Hub (this page) | Membership Hub | |
|---|---|---|
| Path | Dashboard → Portal → Fan Hub | Dashboard → Memberships → Open hub |
| You configure | Portal name, logo, colors, welcome text, which nav sections show | Posts, DMs, classroom, live, members, tiers, emails |
| Fans see | Branded shell: Home, library sections, membership area | Content inside My Membership after they open it from the portal |
| Preview | Preview portal on Fan Hub | View live / Preview portal on hub top bar (opens membership view) |
Open Fan Hub
Go to Fan Hub
Dashboard sidebar → Portal → Fan Hub.
Edit sections
Use Identity, Colors, Welcome content, and Sections on the left. The Live preview on the right updates as you type.
Save
Click Save changes → toast Portal settings saved. Flo shows Saved when nothing is pending.
Preview (optional)
Click Preview portal to open the real portal layout in a new tab while logged in as yourself (see Preview vs live).
If you leave the page with unsaved edits, your browser may warn you before closing the tab.
Username required for preview
Preview portal stays disabled until your account has a public username set (Settings → Profile). Fans also need your username in URLs like https://myflo.link/yourname/portal.
Shortcut: fan list
Below the header, View and manage your fan list opens Dashboard → Fan Hub → Fans (same area, dedicated page).
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Fan | Name and email |
| Courses | How many course enrollments |
| Purchases | How many product purchases |
| Joined | When they first signed into your portal |
| Last active | Last time Flo saw activity (or —) |
Search by email or name, sort columns, and paginate 50 fans per page. The list is read-only in v1 — use it for support and research, not bulk messaging.
Empty state: When someone signs into your fan portal, they'll appear here.
Identity
| Field | Detail |
|---|---|
| Portal name | Shown in the portal header, sign-in page, and membership labels when set. Placeholder example: Jane's Academy. Max 100 characters. If empty, Flo uses your username in the header. |
| Logo | Optional. PNG or JPG, max 5MB. Shown about 28px tall in the header. Use the crop tool for a wide wordmark shape. If empty, the portal name text shows instead. |
Colors
Four pickers define how the portal looks. Defaults match Flo’s dark portal theme until you change them.
| Field | Where it shows |
|---|---|
| Brand color | Active nav highlight, accents, section card icons |
| Accent color | Secondary highlights (saved with your brand; pairs with interactive accents) |
| Background color | Main content area behind Home and library cards |
| Text color | Headlines and body on the portal background |
If you choose a light background, Flo keeps the sidebar and mobile menu on a dark chrome so navigation stays readable.
Welcome content
| Field | Detail |
|---|---|
| Welcome message | Short greeting at the top of portal Home. Max 500 characters. If empty, fans see Welcome back plus their first name when Flo has it. |
| CTA button label | Optional label you can save (max 50 characters, default Browse all courses). Flo stores it with your portal settings; the home page today focuses on section cards rather than one main button. |
Under the headline, Home always shows Here's everything in your library.
Sections (visibility)
Three switches control optional items in the sidebar and on Home. All default to on.
| Switch | When on | When off |
|---|---|---|
| Courses | My Courses in nav + course card on Home | Hidden — fans use direct course links instead |
| Products | My Products in nav + product card on Home | Hidden |
| Bookings | My Bookings in nav + booking card on Home | Hidden |
These switches do not hide:
| Always shown | Why |
|---|---|
| Home | Portal landing |
| My Membership | Only when the fan is a member of your program |
| Subscriptions | Manage recurring billing and payment methods |
| Privacy & data | Fan privacy controls |
| Visit [portal name] | Footer link to your public Flo page |
Turn a section off if you do not sell that offer type or want a simpler nav for members-only programs.
What fans see after login
Sign-in URL
Fans authenticate at:
https://myflo.link/{your-username}/login
After login they land on portal Home.
Sidebar navigation
| Item | Who sees it |
|---|---|
| Home | Everyone |
| My Courses | Everyone if Courses is on |
| My Products | Everyone if Products is on |
| My Bookings | Everyone if Bookings is on |
| My Membership | Members only (active membership with you) |
| Subscriptions | Everyone with billing history |
| Privacy & data | Everyone |
| Visit [portal name] | Opens your public page https://myflo.link/{your-username} in a new tab |
The header shows your logo or portal name. Below that, fans see their avatar, name, and email.
Home page
| Block | Content |
|---|---|
| Headline | Your welcome message or default welcome |
| Subtitle | Here's everything in your library. |
| Section cards | One card per enabled section (and My Membership when applicable) |
Each card shows a count when the fan has items (for example number of enrollments). Empty libraries show prompts like Explore courses → or Browse products →. My Membership uses the detail line Posts, chat, billing, and benefits instead of a count.
My Membership (members)
Members open My Membership for the experience you build in the Membership Hub — feed, tier, DMs, classroom links, referrals, and billing shortcuts. Fan Hub does not edit those features; see Membership Hub overview.
Join flow for new members starts at https://myflo.link/{your-username}/portal/membership (often linked from your Membership block).
Preview vs live
| Live preview (sidebar on Fan Hub) | Preview portal (header button) | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | Mini mockup inside the dashboard | Full portal in a new browser tab |
| Updates | Instantly as you edit (before save) | After save, or reflects saved brand when preview loads |
| Data | Sample layout only | Real routes; you as creator with a preview session |
| Counts on Home | Not real | Zero course/product/booking counts in preview mode |
| Membership | Not shown in mini preview | Hub View live opens preview straight to My Membership for a program |
Preview portal sets a short-lived preview cookie (about one hour), then sends you to /{username}/portal. Only you, as the creator who owns that portal, can use it. Fans always use normal login.
Membership Hub View live uses the same preview system but opens .../portal/membership?membership={program-id} so you land on the member experience for that program.

Requirements and common questions
| Topic | Detail |
|---|---|
| Membership program | Recommended before investing in portal branding — otherwise My Membership never appears for fans |
| Flo Payments | Required for paid membership checkout and Subscriptions billing — Connect payments |
| Same brand as Flo page | Optional but helps — portal colors are separate from Builder → Page settings |
| Changing username | Breaks old links — update anywhere you shared myflo.link/oldname/portal |
Troubleshooting
| Issue | What to check |
|---|---|
| Preview portal disabled | Set your public username in account settings |
| Changes not visible to fans | Click Save changes; fans may need to refresh |
| My Membership missing | Fan must join your program; status active or past due |
| Section hidden but fan has access | Visibility only hides nav — direct course or product URLs may still work |
| Logo looks tiny or cropped | Upload a wide logo; header height is ~28px |
| Fan not on Fans list | They must sign in to your portal at least once |
| Light background, dark sidebar | Expected — Flo keeps sidebar readable on light page backgrounds |
