Connect Payments

Flo Payments is how money moves on Flo: fans pay on your page, revenue lands in your Flo Payments balance, and Flo sends payouts to your bank on a schedule you choose. This guide walks through first-time setup — identity, business type, bank account, ID verification, and activation.

What you need before selling paid offers

Anything above $0 requires an Active earnings account:

Until Active, fans can still visit a published page and use free blocks. Paid checkout shows an error or cannot complete.

Where to start

From Settings → Flo Payments, click Set up Flo earnings account (empty state) or Continue setup / Complete verification on the Earnings account card.

The 5-step setup flow

Flo guides you through Your earnings account at /settings/payments/setup. A progress bar and five dots track steps 1–5. You can leave and resume — Flo returns you to the right step.

1. Step 1 — Tell us about yourself

   Identity — legal name, date of birth, phone, and address.

   • Choose Country first — it drives tax/ID fields, bank format, and settlement currency
   • Mobile number (dial code hint depends on country)
   • First name and Last name (legal names on government ID)
   • Date of birth (month, day, year)
   • Address line, city, state/province (where required), postal code

   Country-specific ID (when shown):

   Region	Typical field
   United States	Last 4 of SSN
   Canada	SIN (Social Insurance Number)
   Australia	Last 3 digits of Tax File Number
   Most EU/UK and others	No extra ID number in this step

   Flo shows your Flo account email for payment verification. Data is encrypted for payout compliance.

   Click Continue — Flo creates your earnings profile (usually a few seconds).

2. Step 2 — How do you operate?

   Business type — pick one:

   • I'm an individual creator — most solo creators
   • I represent a business or brand — requires Company name; optional EIN / tax ID for US companies

   Click Continue.

3. Step 3 — Where should we send your money?

   Bank account — payout destination. Fields depend on country:

   Bank format	Countries (examples)
   ACH (routing + account)	United States
   EFT (institution + transit + account)	Canada
   Sort code + account	United Kingdom
   IBAN	Ireland, Germany, France, and most EU/EEA, plus Nordics and Switzerland
   BSB + account	Australia
   National account number	New Zealand
   Bank + branch codes	Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan

   Enter Name on account and your bank details in Flo's secure form. Flo does not store your full account number on Flo servers.

   If you already linked a bank in a prior session, you may see Bank account on file and can continue or choose a different account.

   Click Continue after the bank step saves.

4. Step 4 — Verify your identity

   Government ID — upload for financial regulations:

   • ID — front (required) — JPG, PNG, or PDF
   • ID — back (optional)

   Upload each side, wait for confirmation, then click Continue. Flo reviews documents securely during activation.

5. Step 5 — Review and activate

   Review summarizes identity, business type, bank (last 4 digits), and ID status. Use Edit on any row to jump back.

   Read the Flo Payments Terms and payment processing agreement, then click Activate Flo Payments.

   Flo submits for verification (Activating Flo Payments — stay on the page). When approved, you see You're ready to earn and can Go to my wallet. If verification is still running, Flo may poll for a few minutes, then show Still verifying… with a link to check Wallet later.

Earnings account statuses

After you start setup, Settings → Flo Payments shows status on the Earnings account card:

A yellow banner may appear: Action needed on your earnings account — Complete verification keeps payouts running (tax forms or extra processor requirements).

Supported countries

Country selection in step 1 must be a supported region. Flo Payments onboarding is available in:

North America: United States, Canada

Europe & UK: United Kingdom, Ireland, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland

Asia-Pacific: Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan

If your country is not listed, you cannot complete setup in the app today. Free offers and email capture still work on your page.

Your country sets:

• Default settlement currency (for example USD, GBP, EUR, CAD, AUD)
• Bank input format (see step 3 table)
• Identity fields (SSN last 4, SIN, TFN, etc.)

After your account is Active

Paid sales

• Sell a Product, Sell a Course, Membership, and paid Book a Session blocks can complete checkout on your live page.
• Flo applies your Flo plan's platform fees on each sale (percentage + flat + processing recovery).

Wallet

Open Dashboard → Wallet:

New card revenue stays pending 7 days on a new earnings account, then 2 days after 60 days of clean history. Flo Payments explains settlement and booking holds.

Settings you can tune (same panel)

Once connected, Settings → Flo Payments also includes:

Payout schedule notes:

• Default preference is Weekly (Flo processes weekly payouts on Fridays, UTC).
• Daily unlocks 90 days after your earnings account was created (and may require Creator+ on your Flo plan — see Flo Payments).
• Minimum payout examples: $10 USD, £8 GBP, €9 EUR, $10 CAD — exact floor for your currency is shown read-only in payout settings.

Quick checklist

1. Settings → Flo Payments → Set up Flo earnings account
2. Complete steps 1–5 (identity → business → bank → ID → Activate Flo Payments)
3. Wait for Earnings account = Active (or resolve Action required)
4. Publish or Update live on your page
5. Run a test purchase on a paid block in a private browser window
6. Confirm the sale in Wallet
