Portal Branding
Portal branding is how fans see your name and colors after they sign in — not Flo’s default dashboard look. You control it in Fan Hub under Identity, Colors, and Welcome content. Changes apply to the fan portal (https://myflo.link/{your-username}/portal), the branded sign-in page, and parts of the membership experience inside the portal.
This page goes deep on those three sections. For the full Fan Hub layout, preview modes, and who sees what, start with Fan Hub overview. Section toggles (Courses, Products, Bookings) live in Portal visibility.

Open Fan Hub
Go to Fan Hub
Dashboard sidebar → Portal → Fan Hub.
Edit branding
Update Identity, Colors, and Welcome content on the left. The Live preview on the right updates as you type — even before you save.
Save
Click Save changes. You should see toast Portal settings saved and the header hint Saved. While you have unsaved edits, Flo shows Unsaved changes.
Check on a real screen (optional)
Click Preview portal to open the full portal in a new tab (requires a public username in Settings → Profile). See Portal preview.
If you leave Fan Hub with unsaved work, your browser may warn you before closing the tab.
Fan Hub is not Membership Hub
Membership Hub (Dashboard → Memberships → Open hub) is where you publish posts, classroom, and DMs. Fan Hub only styles the shell fans see around those features — name, logo, colors, welcome line, and which library sections appear in the sidebar.
Identity
The Identity card sets how your portal introduces itself in the header and on sign-in.
Portal name
| Detail | Value |
|---|---|
| Field | Portal name |
| Max length | 100 characters |
| Placeholder | e.g. Jane's Academy |
| If empty | Flo uses your public username everywhere the portal name appears |
Where fans see it
| Place | What they see |
|---|---|
| Portal sidebar header | Name text when you have no logo |
| Mobile portal header | Same name in the top bar |
| Sign-in page | Large title on the branded panel; browser tab title is Sign in — plus your portal name |
| Sign-in form | Access your [portal name] account under the logo |
| Membership area | Page titles and your name on the membership feed (when members open My Membership) |
| Footer link | Visit [portal name] — opens your public Flo page |
Purchase receipt emails use the product name, not Portal name. Membership welcome emails use your program name and optional logo from Membership Hub → Settings → Emails, not Fan Hub (see Welcome email).
Logo
| Detail | Value |
|---|---|
| Field | Logo |
| Required | No |
| Formats | PNG, JPG, or WebP |
| Max size | 5 MB |
| Crop shape | Wide wordmark (about 3:1) — matches the header strip |
| Display height | About 28px tall in the portal sidebar; width scales to fit |
| If empty | Portal name (or username) shows as text instead |
Upload flow
- Click the upload area or drag an image onto it.
- Adjust the crop in the crop window, then confirm.
- Flo uploads the image and shows a preview. Use remove to clear the logo and fall back to text.
Wide logos work best
Tall or square logos get squeezed in a short header band. Export a horizontal wordmark with clear padding so it stays readable at ~28px height.
On My Membership, your logo can also appear as your avatar on the membership feed when you set one here.
Colors
The Colors card has four pickers. Together they paint the fan portal shell, sign-in page, and library cards. Flo saves each color as a hex value (for example #7c2df0).
Default palette
Until you change them, new portals use Flo’s dark theme defaults:
| Field | Default | Role |
|---|---|---|
| Brand color | #7c2df0 | Primary accent |
| Accent color | #a855f7 | Secondary accent |
| Background color | #0f0e17 | Main page background |
| Text color | #e2e8f0 | Headlines and body on that background |
Where each color appears
| Field | Fans see it on… |
|---|---|
| Brand color | Active sidebar item (highlight + left border), hover states, section card icons and hover borders, sign-in Send magic link button and email field focus ring, empty fan avatar circle in the sidebar |
| Accent color | My Membership experience — post reactions, directory links, and related highlights (not the main portal sidebar nav) |
| Background color | Portal Home and library pages, sign-in form panel background (when that panel uses your background) |
| Text color | Headlines and body on the background you chose — including the Welcome message headline on Home |
Light backgrounds and dark sidebar
If Background color is light, Flo keeps the sidebar and mobile menu on a dark bar (#0f0e17) so navigation stays readable. The main content area still uses your light background and Text color.
This is intentional: you can run a bright Home page without losing contrast in the nav.
Check contrast
Pair a dark Text color with a dark Background color, or a light text with a light background. Very similar colors make section cards and subtitles hard to read.
Welcome content
The Welcome content card controls the greeting on portal Home and one optional label Flo stores for later use.
Welcome message
| Detail | Value |
|---|---|
| Field | Welcome message |
| Max length | 500 characters |
| Placeholder | Welcome back! Here's everything you have access to. |
| If empty | Home headline is Welcome back plus the fan’s first name when Flo has it (for example Welcome back, Alex) |
Below the headline, Home always shows the subtitle Here's everything in your library. — that line is not editable in Fan Hub.
The same Welcome message is passed into the My Membership area as context for members (alongside program content from the Membership Hub).
CTA button label
| Detail | Value |
|---|---|
| Field | CTA button label |
| Max length | 50 characters |
| Default when saved empty | Browse all courses |
| Placeholder | Browse all courses |
Flo saves this label with your portal settings. Portal Home today uses section cards (My Courses, My Products, and so on) rather than one big button under the welcome line, so fans may not see this label on Home yet. You can still set it so it is ready when Flo surfaces a primary action there.
Where portal branding applies (and where it does not)
| Uses Fan Hub branding | Uses something else |
|---|---|
| Fan portal shell and Home | Builder → Page settings — your public Flo page look |
https://myflo.link/{username}/login sign-in | Settings → Branding — creator dashboard accent (Creator plan) |
| My Membership colors and feed name/logo | Membership welcome email logo and copy — Hub Settings → Emails |
| Portal library section cards | Checkout modal branding — separate settings (when available) |
| Subscriptions and Privacy & data pages inside the portal | Course welcome message on the enrolled course page — course editor, not Fan Hub |
Your public page at https://myflo.link/{your-username} and the fan portal share a username but do not automatically sync colors. Matching them is a manual design choice.
Live preview vs saved portal
| Live preview (right column on Fan Hub) | Preview portal (header button) | |
|---|---|---|
| Updates | Instantly as you edit | Opens after save (or reflects last saved brand when the tab loads) |
| Scope | Mini sidebar + sample Home | Full portal routes in a new tab |
| Welcome line | Shows your text or Welcome back! | Real Home logic (name fallback when message empty) |
| CTA label | Not shown in the mini layout | Not shown on live Home today |
| Membership | Not included in mini preview | Available when you preview as a member |
Fans always see saved branding after a normal login. Tell testers to refresh if you just saved.
Suggested branding workflow
Name the portal
Set Portal name to your studio, brand, or program name — not only your personal name unless that is the brand.
Add a logo
Upload a wide wordmark. Remove it temporarily if you want to check how the text fallback looks.
Align colors
Match Brand color to your public page or membership art. Set Background and Text for readable contrast.
Write one welcome line
Short and specific — for example New lessons drop every Tuesday. Start in My Courses.
Save and preview
Save changes → Preview portal on desktop and on your phone width.
Test sign-in
Open
https://myflo.link/{your-username}/loginin a private window and confirm logo, colors, and copy feel right before sharing the link.
Troubleshooting
| Issue | What to try |
|---|---|
| Fans see old colors or name | Click Save changes; ask them to hard-refresh the portal |
| Preview portal disabled | Set a public username in Settings → Profile |
| Logo blurry or clipped | Use a wide PNG/JPG/WebP; re-crop with more horizontal space |
| Upload fails | Confirm file is an image under 5 MB |
| Light page but dark sidebar | Expected on light Background color — nav stays dark for readability |
| Welcome back, [name] but you wrote a custom message | Clear Welcome message, save, or check you saved the right text (empty field triggers the default) |
| Membership looks different from Home | Accent color mainly affects My Membership; sidebar nav uses Brand color |
| Welcome email logo wrong | Edit logo under Welcome email — not Fan Hub Logo |
