Membership Management

After someone joins, they manage billing, tiers, and email preferences from your fan portal — not from your creator dashboard. This page explains what members see on My Membership and My Subscriptions, and how those controls compare to actions you take in the Membership Hub or Wallet.

Program content (posts, classroom, messages) lives on My Membership too but is covered in Membership portal. Here the focus is account controls: money, tier, cancel paths, and emails.

Creator plan required

Paid membership billing requires Flo PaymentsConnect payments.

Two portal areas members use

AreaPathBest for
My Membershiphttps://myflo.link/{your-username}/portal/membershipYour program: tier, benefits, renew date, Cancel membership, email toggles, Switch tier
My Subscriptionshttps://myflo.link/{your-username}/portal/subscriptionsEvery ongoing Flo subscription tied to their account — membership renewals, product payment plans, course subscriptions

Both appear in the portal sidebar for signed-in fans. My Membership only shows when they have an active (or past due) membership with you.

Two cancel buttons — different results

A paying member may see Cancel membership on My Membership (keeps access until period end) and Cancel subscription on My Subscriptions for the same program (stops billing immediately). Support members to use the right screen — Cancel paths below.

How members open these pages

  1. Sign in

https://myflo.link/{your-username}/login — Google or magic link.

  2. Sidebar

My Membership (members only) and Subscriptions (always listed).

  3. Home shortcut

My Membership card on portal Home when they are a member — Posts, chat, billing, and benefits.

If you hid library sections in Fan Hub, Subscriptions still appears — it is not controlled by Courses / Products / Bookings toggles (Portal visibility).

Cancel membershipActive billing, not already cancelled locallySchedules cancel at period end — confirm names the end date

After they confirm Cancel membership, the page shows:

Flo does not cut off access immediately on this path — it matches Membership Hub → Members → Cancel memberships for paid members (Pause & cancel).

PausedYellow Membership paused banner — billing on hold; they keep access until you Resume in hub settings

Under Notifications, members toggle:

When you enable the directory and the member is Active, a Browse members link opens the opt-in member list for that program.

Referrals

If you run Referrals, members can copy a personal referral link from the membership page (below the main card).

Guide members to My Membership for a soft cancel

If they want to finish the month they paid for, point them to Cancel membership on My Membership, not Cancel subscription on My Subscriptions.

Free, gifted, and one-time members cannot self-cancel billing on My Membership — you cancel from the hub (Pause & cancel).

Failed payments (past due)

When a renewal fails, status becomes Past due. Members usually still have access while Flo retries billing (Billing & dunning).

WhereWhat they should do
My MembershipPayment failed banner → Update payment method
My SubscriptionsWarning on the row → Manage billing & payment

You see Past due in Membership Hub → Members and Wallet → Subscriptions. Flo emails members on a reminder schedule (day 1, ~3, ~7) unless you change grace settings.
