Portal Preview

Flo gives you two preview tools so you can check the fan portal before sharing it:

ToolWhereBest for
Live previewRight column on Fan HubQuick checks while editing name, colors, welcome copy, and section toggles
Preview portalPreview portal button on Fan Hub (and View live / Preview portal in Membership Hub)Full-size portal in a new browser tab — real pages, real layout

Fans never use preview. They sign in at https://myflo.link/{your-username}/login and see live data (their enrollments, purchases, memberships, and billing).

Live preview (Fan Hub)

The Live preview panel sits beside the Fan Hub form on wide screens (it stacks below the form on smaller widths).

DetailBehavior
LabelLive preview in the panel header
UpdatesImmediately as you type or toggle switches — no save required
ShowsMini sidebar (logo or portal name, Home, and any enabled My Courses / My Products / My Bookings) plus a sample Home welcome line
Does not showMy Membership, Subscriptions, Privacy & data, real counts, or full page content

Use Live preview to compare color choices and section toggles side by side. When you are happy, click Save changes so fans get the same branding.

Live preview ≠ what fans see online

Preview portal (below) loads your saved portal settings from Flo. Live preview only mirrors the unsaved form on your screen until you save.

Preview portal (full tab)

Start preview from Fan Hub

  1. Set your username

Preview portal stays disabled until you have a public username (Settings → Profile). Fans need that username in URLs too.

  2. Save Fan Hub changes

Click Save changes if you edited branding or visibility — the preview tab reads saved settings, not unsaved form state.

  3. Click Preview portal

On Fan Hub, click Preview portal (top right). Flo opens a new tab.

  4. Browse the portal

You land on portal Home at https://myflo.link/{your-username}/portal with a short-lived preview session (about one hour).

You must be logged into your creator dashboard in the same browser. Flo only grants preview to the account that owns that portal.

If you are not logged in, Flo sends you to login. If the username does not match your portal, Flo sends you back to Fan Hub.

Start preview from Membership Hub

To see the member experience (feed, posts, tier, classroom links), open the program in Membership Hub and use either:

ButtonLocation
View liveTop bar of the hub
Preview portalBottom of the left hub navigation

Both open the same preview flow, but land on My Membership for that program:

https://myflo.link/{your-username}/portal/membership?membership={program-id}

Flo loads a preview membership using your program’s first active tier (featured tier first, then display order) so you can scroll posts and benefits as if you joined — without creating a test fan account.

Fan Hub preview alone does not show My Membership

Preview portal from Fan Hub (without the membership link) does not add My Membership to the sidebar. Use View live from Membership Hub to preview the member area.

What preview mode looks like

While preview is active, the portal uses a stand-in fan profile:

FieldPreview value
NamePreview Mode
Emailpreview@myflo.link

You will see those labels in the sidebar under your logo. Real fans see their own name and email.

Home and library sections

AreaIn preview
Home welcomeYour saved welcome message, or the default welcome if empty
Home card counts0 for courses, products, and upcoming bookings
My Courses / My Products / My BookingsPages load, but lists are empty (no enrollments, purchases, or bookings)
SubscriptionsPage loads with no subscriptions
My Membership (sidebar)Hidden on a general Fan Hub preview — use View live from Membership Hub

Empty library pages still show normal empty copy (for example No courses yet).

Privacy & data

On Privacy & data, Flo shows a banner:

Preview mode — privacy actions are disabled.

Export and account-deletion controls are turned off in preview so you do not trigger real privacy jobs while testing.

If you open .../portal/membership during a general preview without ?membership=..., you see the public join experience (available tiers), not the member feed. That is expected — use View live from the hub for the feed preview.

Preview vs live (for fans)

After preview expires, visiting the portal again without a fan login sends you to the sign-in page — same as any visitor without a session.

  1. Edit in Fan Hub

Adjust branding and Sections toggles; watch Live preview for quick layout checks.

  2. Save

    Click Save changesPortal settings saved.

  3. Preview portal shell

Preview portal — check Home, sidebar, colors, and hidden sections on desktop and phone width.

  4. Preview membership (if you run a program)

Membership Hub → View live — confirm feed, posts, tier benefits, and directory (if enabled).

  5. Test as a real fan (optional)

Sign in with a personal email at https://myflo.link/{your-username}/login, or join a free test tier, to verify counts, downloads, and billing.
