Create a Membership Tier

Tiers are the levels fans choose when they join your membership — for example Free, Supporter, and VIP. Each tier has a name, optional description, benefit bullets, and one or more prices (monthly, yearly, one-time, and more).

Creator plan required

You need Creator or above. Free cannot create memberships.

Where to edit pricing

You can build tiers in two places — both save the same data.

PathBest for
Dashboard → Memberships → your program → Edit tiersMembership Studio — focused tier builder with Offer, Content, and Delivery tabs
Open hubSettingsPricing & tiersSame tier editor inside hub settings, plus a Simple (no tiers) option

Membership Studio (Edit tiers)

Opens at Dashboard → Memberships → [your program] → Edit tiers.

AreaWhat you do
Top barRename your program (click the title), switch Draft / Live, and click Save for tiers
Offer tabAdd tiers, prices, benefits, and descriptions — this guide focuses here
Content tabShortcuts into hub areas (community, classroom, and more)
Delivery tabPreview how fans reach your portal; optional per-tier community links

Save in the top bar saves tiers and prices only. Program name and Draft / Live status save separately when you edit them in the bar.

Hub → Settings → Pricing & tiers

Same tier cards as Studio, with two extra controls:

ControlMeaning
Simple (no tiers)One set of prices for the whole program — no named tier cards
TieredMultiple tiers with names, colors, and benefits

Use Simple when you only need a single price (for example one monthly membership). Use Tiered when you want a ladder — free + paid, or good / better / best.

Switching from Tiered to Simple

If you already have active tiers and tap Simple (no tiers), Flo asks you to confirm — Removing tiers will archive your current pricing. Existing members keep their subscriptions; new fans see the simple price layout after you save.

Plan limits

PlanTiers per membership program
CreatorUp to 3
Pro / StudioUnlimited

A meter on the page shows Pricing tiers (per membership, plan limit). When you are at the cap, Add tier becomes Upgrade to add tier and sends you to billing.

Creator can only create one membership program total. Pro / Studio can run unlimited programs — see Memberships overview.

Before you add paid prices

SituationWhat Flo expects
Paid tiers (any price above $0)Flo Payments must be Active before fans can checkout — Connect payments
Saving pricesFlo may show a yellow reminder: connect your earnings account in Wallet settings before adding prices — prices are saved to your payment account when you click save
Free tier ($0)Fans can join without paying; you still configure a $0 price row so checkout knows the tier is free

Until your program is Live (Active status), new signups stay off even if tiers are saved.

Tiered mode — step by step

  1. Open the tier editor

Edit tiers from your membership card, or Hub → Settings → Pricing & tiers and choose Tiered.

  2. Add your first tier

If you have no tiers yet, click Add tier. Flo creates a starter tier (default name like Tier 1, default price $9.99 / month, and a color dot you can change).

  3. Name and describe the tier

Open the tier card (click the row). Set Tier name, Color, and optional Description. Use Write with AI (sparkle) on the description if you want a draft — you can edit it before saving.

  4. List what's included

Under What's included, add benefit lines (Add benefit). These show on your Membership block and join page — Member benefits.

  5. Set pricing

Add at least one price per tier (see Pricing options below). You can add up to three price rows per tier with Add price option.

  6. Add more tiers (optional)

Click Add tier again for another level. Drag the ⋮⋮ handle on a tier row to reorder — top to bottom is how fans usually read good → best.

  7. Save

In Studio: top bar Save → toast Tiers saved. In Hub settings: Save pricing & tiers → toast Pricing saved.

  8. Go live

Switch the program to Live when you are ready for signups. Add a Membership block on your Flo page — Membership block.

Each tier — fields explained

Expand a tier card to edit these fields.

FieldRequired?What fans see
Tier nameYesTitle on checkout and your Membership block
ColorNo (has a default)Small dot beside the name in the editor; helps you tell tiers apart
Description (optional)NoExtra pitch under the tier on join pages
What's includedNo (recommended)Bullet list of perks — empty lines are ignored when you save
PricingYes — at least one price rowPrices and billing choices at checkout

Remove a tier

At the bottom of an expanded tier, click Remove tier. The tier disappears from the editor. When you Save, Flo archives that tier — it no longer appears for new joins. Fans already on that tier keep their access until they change or cancel — Billing & dunning.

Pricing options (per tier)

Each price row is one way to pay for the same tier.

Recurring vs one-time

ButtonMeaning
RecurringSubscription that renews — set Weekly, Monthly, or Yearly
One-timeSingle charge to join (no renewal interval)

Amount: You receive vs Buyer pays

ModeMeaning
You receiveYou enter what you want to earn; Flo calculates what the fan pays after platform fees
Buyer paysYou enter the checkout price fans see

A small preview under the amount explains the other side. Your plan’s sale fee affects the math — Wallet fees.

Optional fields on each price row

FieldApplies toPurpose
Label (e.g. Best value)AllShort nickname on checkout when you offer multiple prices for one tier
Trial (days)Recurring onlyFree trial length before the first charge
Remove (trash)When you have 2+ rowsDelete that price option

You can add up to three price rows per tier (Add price option). Example: $9 / month and $90 / year on the same tier so fans pick billing cadence.

Currency

Amounts use the currency set on your Flo account (Settings — display currency). Fans checkout in that currency.

Free tier tip

To offer a free level, add a tier (for example Free) and set a Recurring price to $0.00 with your chosen interval, or use a One-time $0 row. Pair it with benefit bullets so fans know what they get.

Simple mode (no tiers)

In Hub → Settings → Pricing & tiers, choose Simple (no tiers).

What you seeWhat it does
Price rows only (no tier names)One membership price list — same editor controls as tier pricing (recurring, one-time, trial, labels)
Save pricing & tiersSaves those prices directly on the program

Good for a single “join my membership” price. Switch to Tiered when you want named levels and benefit ladders.

Save checks (common messages)

Flo validates before saving. Fix the highlighted fields and try again.
