Email capture (Newsletter block)
The Newsletter block lets fans join your email list from your Flo page. In the block library it is labeled Newsletter; in Layers it may show your headline or Newsletter.
After someone signs up, Flo sends a confirmation email. They become a full subscriber only after they click the link in that email. New contacts appear in Dashboard → Subscribers.
Available on every plan
The Newsletter block is on Free and all paid plans. How many confirmed subscribers you can have depends on your plan — see Plan limits below.
What fans see
- They read your headline (and optional subheadline), then enter an email address.
- If you turned on Collect first name, they also fill in a name field (on Featured and Inline layouts only).
- They tap your button (for example Subscribe).
- The form is replaced by your Success message and a note to check their inbox for a confirmation link.
- They open the email, click confirm, and become subscribed on your list.
Already on your list
If that email is already subscribed, the form still shows success — Flo does not send another confirmation email or create a duplicate.
Double opt-in
New signups are pending until they confirm. That protects your deliverability and keeps your list compliant. Pending contacts show in Subscribers; they do not count toward your confirmed cap until they confirm.
The Featured layout also shows a small line at the bottom: No spam, unsubscribe anytime.
Plan limits
Confirmed subscribers (subscribed status) count toward your plan cap:

When you are at your cap, the form may still look successful to a fan, but Flo does not add new confirmed subscribers until you upgrade or remove old contacts. Watch your count in Dashboard → Subscribers before a big launch.

Add a Newsletter block
Open the builder
Dashboard → Builder on a desktop browser.
Add Newsletter from the library
Layers → + or Block tab (nothing selected) → Newsletter.
Select the block
The block appears on the preview and is selected. The right panel shows Content, Display, Behavior, and Analytics.
Write your copy
In Content, set headline, subheadline, button text, and any lead-magnet lines.
Pick a layout
Open Display → Layout (Featured, Inline, Compact, or Minimal).
Publish
Flo auto-saves your draft. Click Publish or Update live — Publishing.

There is no Edit modal and nothing to create in Products or Courses first.
Content tab
A live preview of the block sits at the top. Fields below update it as you type.

After submit, fans also see helper text about the confirmation email in their inbox (and a note if delivery may take a few minutes).
Collect first name

Name collection appears on Featured and Inline layouts only. Compact and Minimal always collect email only, even if this switch is on.

Lead magnet
Optional extras — mostly used with the Featured layout:

Subscriber count is manual
Join X readers only appears when Show subscriber count is on and you type a number in Display count. Flo does not plug in your live subscriber total automatically yet — update the number yourself when you want it to change.
Offer / lead magnet also appears on the Compact layout. Benefits and Join X readers are Featured only.
Display tab

Choose the overall shape of the block:

Block background
Block background overrides the page background for this block only. Leave it unset to match the rest of the page.

Custom background under Behavior wraps the whole block section. Display → Block background fills only the newsletter card — you can use one or both.
Analytics tab
After the block is saved, Analytics shows roughly the last 30 days:

Confirmation happens in email, so some signups stay pending until fans click the link. Use Dashboard → Subscribers for pending vs confirmed counts.

You can place Newsletter under your profile header and put Link or product blocks below it.

Use Newsletter to own your audience. Use Link for socials, shops, or external tools.
