Text

The Text block adds read-only copy to your Flo page — a headline, a short paragraph, a highlighted callout, or a quote. Fans scroll and read; nothing to buy or sign up for.

Use it for launch notes, FAQs, “about this offer” context, or spacing between a Newsletter block and a Course. In the block library it is labeled Text.

Available on every plan

The Text block is on Free and all paid plans. You can add as many Text blocks as you need on one page.

What fans see

Visitors see the words you typed, styled the way you chose in the builder:

Style	What it looks like
Heading	Large title line, optional smaller paragraph underneath
Body	Normal paragraph — line breaks you type are kept
Callout	Text inside a tinted card with a small icon (info, warning, tip, or success)
Quote	Italic pull-quote style with a vertical accent line on the left

Text uses your page font and colors from the Page tab unless you override background or alignment in the block. There is no button and no form in this block.

Add a Text block

Open the builder
Dashboard → Builder on a desktop browser.
Add Text from the library
Layers → + or Block tab (nothing selected) → Text.
Select the block
The block appears on the preview and is selected. The right panel shows Content, Display, Behavior, and Analytics.
Write your copy
In Content, pick a Style, type in Content, and set Max width if you want narrower reading lines.
Tune layout
Open Display for alignment, background, shadow, padding, and optional motion.
Publish
Flo auto-saves your draft. Click Publish or Update live so fans see the text — Publishing.

Content tab

Style

Choose how the block is structured. The preview updates when you change Style:

Style	Best for
Heading	Section titles — “New drop”, “About me”, “FAQ”
Body	Longer copy, bios, policies, instructions
Callout	One important note fans should not miss
Quote	A testimonial or pull quote

Content

Type your message in the Content box.

Style	How to use the box
Heading	First line = main headline. Extra lines (optional) = smaller text under the headline.
Body	Full paragraph. Press Enter for a new line — breaks show on the live page.
Callout	The message inside the tinted card.
Quote	The quoted sentence or paragraph.

Max width

Narrower text is easier to read on wide phones:

Page (default)	Uses your page’s normal content width
Wide	Slightly narrower than full page
Mid	Medium column
Narrow	Shortest line length — good for long paragraphs

Expandable text

Shown only when Style is Body.

Expandable text off	Full paragraph always visible
Expandable text on	Long text collapses to three lines with Read more · fans tap Show less to collapse again

Good for long bios or descriptions without pushing other blocks far down the page.

Display tab

Alignment

Option	Effect
Left	Text aligned to the left
Center (default)	Text centered
Right	Text aligned to the right

Block background

Pick a Block background color to put a fill behind the text. Leave it clear/transparent to use only the page background.

Callout style already has a tinted card; a custom background replaces the default callout tint when you set one.

Shadow

Option	Effect
None	Flat
Soft · Medium · Strong	Deeper drop shadow
Glow	Soft purple glow

Most useful when you added a block background.

Padding

Option	Effect
Compact	Tighter space inside the block
Normal (default)	Balanced padding
Relaxed · Spacious	More breathing room

Padding applies when the block has a visible background or shadow.

Callout color

Shown only when Style is Callout (set under Content).

Option	Look
Info	Purple-tinted card (default)
Warning	Amber-tinted card
Tip	Green-tinted card
Success	Stronger green-tinted card

Each option includes a matching icon on the left of your text.

Left border accent

Shown when Style is Body or Quote.

Adds a vertical brand-color bar on the left — useful for emphasis or quote-style highlights. Works together with Quote style’s own left line.

Entrance

Animates the block when it scrolls into view on your live page (not in the builder preview):

If Entrance here is None, Flo can still use Behavior → Entrance animation when you set one there. Display → Entrance wins when you pick Fade, Slide, or Pop in Display.

Useful examples for Text blocks:

Custom background and Block padding under Behavior apply to the whole block wrapper (the section on the page). Display → Block background applies to the text area itself — you can use one or both depending on the look you want.

Analytics tab

After the block is saved, Analytics shows roughly the last 30 days:

Conversions	Usually 0 — Text blocks do not collect signups or sales
Conversion rate	Not meaningful for plain copy

Use Dashboard → Analytics for page-wide trends.

You can stack several Text blocks (for example Heading + Body + Divider) between product blocks.

Use Text for words on the page. Use Link when fans should leave for another site. Use Newsletter when you want emails on your Flo list.
