Profile Header

The profile header is the top of your Flo page — cover banner (optional), photo, name, bio, status pill, and social icons. It is the first thing visitors see at myflo.link/yourname before they scroll to your blocks.

You do not add it from the block library. Every page includes one profile header automatically. It stays pinned at the top of the Layers list and is not included in the N blocks count in the builder top bar.

For how blocks work below the header, see Blocks and Block types.

Open the profile editor

Open Dashboard → Builder, then use any of these:

Entry pointWhat you see
Edit profile headerButton under your social row when you already have links
Add socialsSame editor when you have no social links yet
Click your photo on the previewOpens the editor (camera hint on hover)
Layers → Profile headerPinned row — use canvas controls above; header settings live in the modal

The editor opens as a large window titled Profile header with a live Preview on the right.

Not the Block tab

If you select the header in Layers, the right Block tab may say to use the profile header control on the canvas. Main editing happens in this modal, not in Content / Display tabs like a normal block.

Two tabs: Content and Design

TabWhat you change
ContentPhoto, name, bio, pronouns, location, status, social URLs, cover image or video
DesignAlignment, avatar look, name/bio fonts and colors, social icon style

The Preview panel updates as you edit. A note under the preview says it matches your Page tab styles (background, buttons, and template).

Save and close

ControlBehavior
Save changesEnabled when something changed — saves to your account and page
CancelCloses without saving (disabled briefly after a successful save)
Footer statusUnsaved changes, Saved!, or No changes
EscapeCloses the window

After Save changes, click Publish or Update live so visitors see updates — Publishing.

Flo also auto-saves other builder edits on a delay; the profile modal only applies when you click Save changes inside it.

Add platforms one at a time, then paste a handle or full URL. Flo normalizes links (for example a bare Instagram handle becomes a full instagram.com link).

Supported platforms include:

Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, Facebook, GitHub, Spotify, Twitch, Discord, Substack, Website, and Email.

Icons appear in a row under your bio. Style (color vs outline, shape, size) is set on the Design tab.

Cover media (optional banner)

Cover sits behind the header at the top of the page — not inside the avatar card.

Cover settings are stored with your page (same as Page tab background), so they can differ per A/B test variant when you run a split test.

What visitors see

On your live page, fans get:

  1. Optional cover banner at the very top
  2. Your photo (with ring/border if you set them)
  3. Optional status pill
  4. Name, pronouns, location, and bio
  5. A row of social icons — each opens the link you saved

Below that, they scroll through your other blocks (newsletter, products, links, and so on).

The header does not include a buy button — use Digital download, Course, or other blocks for offers.

Builder vs Settings → Profile

Some fields exist in two places. They sync when you Save changes in the profile header modal or Save changes in Settings → Profile.

FeatureSettings → ProfileBuilder → Edit profile header
Photo, name, bio, social URLsYesYes
Niche (helps Flo AI)YesNo
Cover, alignment, avatar designNoYes (Content + Design)
Pronouns, location, status pillNo*Yes
Name/bio fonts, bio color, social icon styleNoYes (Design)

*Settings may show pronouns or tagline fields that are not saved from Settings today — use the builder profile header for pronouns, location, and status. See Settings → Profile for the full comparison.

A/B tests

Creator plan required

When you edit a variant in an A/B test, the modal saves to that variant’s header and cover — not the main live page until you promote a winner.
