Community Overview

Community is the default tab when you open the Membership Hub. It is your member feed: publish updates, attach media, organize posts by category, limit who can read each post by tier, and see reactions and comments in one place.

Creator plan required

You need Creator or above.

Open Community

  1. Open the hub

Dashboard → Memberships → your program → Open hub.

  2. Community tab

The hub opens on Community by default. If you switched tabs, click Community in the left navigation.

Desktop for composing

On phones or narrow windows, the composer shows a note that creating posts is not available on small screens. Use a desktop browser to write posts with attachments.

What you see on the Community tab

The screen has three main areas:

Stats across the top, feed in the center, program summary on the right — same layout as the live Community tab.

Click Share something with your members… to open the New post dialog.

Flo shows who is posting and in which program — for example Your name posting in Program name, with your avatar.

Add YouTube or Vimeo videoEmbeddable video (must be a valid YouTube or Vimeo URL)

Uploaded attachments appear in a strip below the body. Remove any item with the trash icon on its thumbnail.

Post settings (toolbar icons)

Three icon controls sit beside the attachment tools:

ControlIcon purposeOptions

Bottom actions

Notify membersCheckbox — only when Post now is selected. Sends a new post email to qualifying members when the post goes live
CancelCloses without publishing
Post / Schedule postPublishes now or saves as scheduled

After a successful Post now, Flo shows Post published and adds the post to your feed (and opens the post detail if you just created it).

After Schedule post, Flo confirms with the date and time you chose.

Who can see each post (tier audience)

When composing or editing, open the audience control (Who can see this):

ChoiceFeed labelWho reads it

Email notifications

If Notify members is checked when the post first goes live:

  • All members posts → email goes to all active members (who have not opted out of new-post emails for this program).
  • Tier-only posts → email goes only to active members on that tier.

Notify members only appears when Post now is selected. If you switch to Schedule, the checkbox hides but the on/off choice stays whatever you last set under Post now (default is on). To send no email for a scheduled post, briefly choose Post now, turn off Notify members, then switch back to Schedule.

Scheduled posts go live automatically within a few minutes of the chosen time. Emails (if enabled) send at that moment.

Post categories

Categories help you and members filter the feed by topic.

Set up categories

Hub → Settings → General → scroll to Post categories.

ActionHow
AddType a name and add it to the list
ReorderMove up / Move down on each row
RemoveDelete from the list before saving
SaveSave categories — toast Categories saved.

Description in settings: Group posts by topic. Members can filter the feed by category.

Use categories when posting

Pick a category from the category toolbar icon in the composer, or when editing a post.

Filter your feed

Below the All / Posts / Videos / Files chips, category chips appear when you have at least one category:

ChipShows
All categoriesEvery post (still respects type filters above)
Topic nameOnly posts in that category

Members see the same category filters on the portal feed (Latest from [creator]).

Filter the feed (content type)

ChipShows
AllEvery post
PostsPosts without video or file attachments (text-first)
VideosPosts that include a video
FilesPosts that include a file attachment

If nothing matches, Flo shows No posts match this filter.

Post cards in your feed

Each post appears as a card with:

Saving edits refreshes the feed. Scheduling requires a future date and time.

What members see in the portal

Active members open your Fan Hub / membership portal and see Latest from [your name] with the same All / Posts / Videos / Files filters and category chips.

They canDetail

Like and reactHeart on the card; more emoji reactions in the post view
CommentThread on each post

They only see published posts — not your drafts or not-yet-live scheduled posts.

Use View live or Preview portal from the hub to check the member experience — Membership Hub overview.

Post statuses (creator view)

Your hub feed can include posts in different states:

StatusWhat it meansMembers see it?
PublishedLive in the feedYes
ScheduledWaits until Publish atNo — until it goes live
DraftSaved but not publishedNo — creator hub only

Publishing a scheduled post happens automatically shortly after the scheduled time. You can also open a scheduled post and edit the date or publish manually by changing settings in Edit.

Community vs other hub areas

CommunityUse instead for…
ClassroomUnlocking full courses and products by tier — Classroom
LiveStreaming events — Live events
MessagesOne-to-one DMs — Direct messages

Community posts are great for updates, wins, prompts, and behind-the-scenes content. Classroom is better for structured lessons and file libraries.

Suggested workflow

  1. Set up categories (optional)

Settings → General → Post categories — topics like Announcements, Wins, Q&A.

  2. Welcome post

All members, Post now, optional Notify members — introduce the program.

  3. Tier-exclusive content

Audience → pick a paid tier for VIP updates; locked cards encourage upgrades.

  4. Pin important post

Open post → Pin post — keeps one announcement at the top.

  5. Preview as a member

Preview portal — confirm filters, locks, and media look right.
