Classroom

Classroom is where you attach courses and products from your Flo library to a membership program. Members who qualify see them under Included in Your Membership in the Fan Hub and can open lessons or downloads without buying those items again.

This is how you deliver perks you promised in tier benefit bullets — Member benefits.

Creator plan required

You need Creator or above and an Open hub membership program.

What Classroom does (and does not do)

Classroom doesClassroom does not
Unlock published courses for active membersReplace creating courses — build them under Dashboard → Courses first
Unlock active products (downloads and similar)List course-style products — those use the Courses area instead
Scope access to all tiers or one tierChange tier scope after adding — remove and add again with a new scope
Show a grid of what is attached to this programDelete your course or product — Remove only detaches it from this membership

Benefit bullets on a tier are marketing copy. Classroom is the access switch Flo checks when a member opens a course or download.

Open Classroom

  1. Open the hub

Dashboard → Memberships → your program → Open hub.

  2. Go to Classroom

In the left navigation, click Classroom.

You will see a short description — Courses and products your members get access to — and an Add content button.

What you can add

The Add classroom content panel pulls from your existing Flo library.

Courses

RequirementWhy
Published statusOnly published courses appear in the picker
You own the courseIt must be under your Dashboard → Courses account

Members open entitled courses from View → in the portal, which leads to the course player (/yourname/courses/.../learn).

Products

RequirementWhy
Active on your catalogInactive products do not appear in the picker
Not a course-style productFlo excludes products wired as courses — use Courses for lesson-based content

Members open entitled products from Download →, which goes to My Products in the portal.

Create the asset first

Classroom only links content you already built. Create and publish the course or product, then return to Classroom → Add content.

Add content — step by step

  1. Click Add content

Add content (top right) or Add your first item on an empty Classroom.

  2. Search your library

The slide-over title is Add classroom content. Subtitle: Published courses and active products from your library. Use Search by title… to filter.

  3. Choose tier scope

Next to each row, open the dropdown:

    • All tiers — every active member in this program (default)
    • A tier name — only members on that tier
  4. Click Add

Flo attaches the item and adds a card to your Classroom grid. The item disappears from the picker so you cannot add the same scope twice.

Empty picker messages

MessageMeaning
All your published courses and products are already in this classroom.Everything linkable is already attached — nothing left to add
No matches for that search.Try a different title
This item is already in the classroom. You already added that course or product with the same tier scope

Tier scope explained

When you add an item, you choose who gets access:

Scope in dropdownLabel on Classroom cardWho gets access
All tiersAll tiersEvery active member in this program, on any tier
Supporter (example)Supporter onlyOnly members currently on that tier

Rules Flo applies:

  • The member must be active on this membership (not cancelled or expired).
  • Their current tier must match a tier-only row, or there must be an All tiers row for that course or product.
  • Changing tiers later updates what they can open — Classroom always uses their current tier.

Simple pricing (no named tiers)

If your program uses Simple (no tiers) pricing in settings, the dropdown may only offer All tiers. Every member on the program shares the same access list.

Building a tier ladder

A practical pattern for free + paid levels:

ItemTier scopeWho sees it
Intro courseAll tiersEveryone including free
Full course libraryPaid tier onlyMembers on that paid tier
Bonus templates (product)Top tier onlyVIP members only

Put narrower scopes on higher tiers. Use All tiers only for content you truly want everyone to see.

Benefit bullets vs Classroom

If a tier bullet says Full archive but the course is scoped to VIP only, lower-tier members will not see it. Align bullets with Classroom scope — Member benefits.

Your Classroom grid

After you add items, each appears as a card.

On the cardMeaning
Cover image or letter tileCourse or product artwork
Published / Draft (courses)Course status — Draft courses stay listed here but members only see published courses in the portal
Active / draft styling (products)Whether the product is still active on your catalog
All tiers or Tier name onlyWho you granted access to
Edit course / Edit productOpens the course or product editor in a new area of the dashboard
X (remove)Detaches from this membership only — does not delete the course or product

If Flo cannot load full details, the card says Could not load full details. Remove and re-add this item if the problem persists.

What members see

On the member portal (Fan Hub), qualifying members see a section titled Included in Your Membership.

TypeWhat they clickWhere it goes
CourseView →Course player for that program
ProductDownload →My Products for your page

If they have no entitled courses or products, the section is hidden.

Use View live or Preview portal from the hub to check the list as a member would — Membership Hub overview.

Already bought separately?

If someone already purchased a course or product, they keep that access through their purchase. Classroom access is additional for members — it does not remove a prior sale.

When a member first opens an entitled course, Flo can create their course enrollment automatically so progress tracking works.

Remove or change access

GoalWhat to do
Stop including an itemClick X on the card (Remove from classroom)
Change which tier sees itRemove the card, then Add content again with the new tier scope
Swap the courseEdit the course in Dashboard → Courses, or remove and link a different course

Removing from Classroom takes access away for future portal visits. It does not refund members or delete enrollments from old direct purchases.

Before members can use Classroom content

CheckWhy it matters
Program is Active (not Draft)New signups and a clear live offer
Member joined and is activeCancelled members lose entitlement access
Course is publishedUnpublished courses do not show in the member portal list
Product is activeInactive products do not show for members
Tier scope matches their tierVIP-only content is invisible to lower tiers
Benefit bullets match what you attachedReduces confusion and support tickets

Classroom vs selling on your page

Sell on your Flo pageInclude in Classroom
Who paysAnyone checking out on a blockMembers as part of their subscription
Where you set it upBuilder block + product/course pricingHub → Classroom
Best forOne-time buyers, public offersRecurring membership value

You can use both: sell a course publicly and include it for VIP members in Classroom.

Troubleshooting

IssueWhat to check
Course missing from Add contentIs it published? Already added to this Classroom?
Product missing from pickerIs it active? Is it a course-style product (use Courses instead)?
Member says they cannot open a courseClassroom tier scope, their current tier, and course still published
Card shows Draft but members saw it beforePublish the course again — members only see published items in the portal
This item is already in the classroomSame item and same tier scope — pick a different tier or remove the existing card
Section empty on portal previewNo items added, or member’s tier does not match any scope
Picker says everything is already addedAll linkable courses/products are attached — remove one to re-add or adjust
