Flo Docs
Introduction

Quick Start

This guide is the fastest path from zero to a live Flo page at https://myflo.link/yourname. Most creators finish the builder and publish steps in 30–45 minutes. Connecting Flo Payments for paid offers takes a few more minutes of form-filling, plus verification time (often same day, sometimes longer if documents are requested).

You do not need every feature on day one. Pick one first goal below — email list, product sale, course, membership, or booking — then publish. Add more blocks later.

What you need before you start

  • A Flo account (email or Google) — Free works; no credit card required to sign up
  • A username (your public handle) — becomes myflo.link/yourname
  • For paid offers: legal identity details and a bank account for payouts (Settings → Flo Payments)

The core path (everyone)

  1. Create your account and username

Open myflo.link and click Get started or Sign up. Use Continue with Google or email and password (verify your email if prompted).

Onboarding asks for a display name, username (handle), and how you plan to use Flo. Your username is permanent enough to matter — it becomes your public URL. Flo may create a starter page layout; you can change everything in the builder afterward.

When onboarding finishes, you land on the Dashboard. Full details: Sign up.

  2. Open the builder

In the dashboard sidebar, click Builder. You enter the page editor with a Profile Header block already on the canvas (one header per page).

    • Left: block list and Add block / Block library
    • Center: live preview of your page
    • Right: Block and Page tabs — block settings vs page-wide appearance
    • Top bar: Draft / Live status, block count, View live preview, and Publish
  3. Edit your Profile Header

Click the Profile Header on the canvas (or select it in the layers list). Set your photo, display name, bio, and social links. This is what visitors see first — one sentence on who you help and what to do next is enough for v1.

  4. Add one conversion block

In the left sidebar, open Add blockBlock library and choose a block that matches your first goal (see table above).

After you add the block, select it and use the Block tab on the right to wire it up:

    • Newsletter — email capture; set headline and button; signups go to Dashboard → Subscribers
    • Digital download (or Physical product) — pick a product or create one under Dashboard → Products first
    • Course — pick a course from Dashboard → Courses
    • Membership / Book a Session — only on Creator+; pick the membership or booking offer you created in the dashboard

    Block library names

The library uses short labels (Newsletter, Digital download, Course). On your live page they behave the same as Capture Emails, Sell a Product, and Sell a Course in other docs.

    Block count in the header

The builder top bar shows how many blocks you have excluding the header (for example 2 blocks). The header does not count toward that number.

  5. Style the page

Click the Page tab in the right panel. Adjust font, background, button style, and spacing to match your brand. Click Save appearance at the bottom of the panel so page-wide styles persist.

    Creator plan required

On Creator+, you can hide the Flo badge and use custom brand colors. On Pro / Studio, you can also brand checkout and connect a custom domain.

  6. Publish

Check the top-left pill: it should read Draft before your first publish. Click Publish in the top bar. On success you see Your page is live! and the pill switches to Live with a green dot.

Your public URL is https://myflo.link/yourname. Copy it from Settings → Page & domain or use View live preview in the builder (opens your live page in a new tab).

After the first publish, further edits show Update live until you push changes to the public page. Clicking Live when there are no pending edits unpublishes the page — use that only when you want the page offline entirely.

Goal-specific setup

Grow your email list (no payments)

  1. Add Newsletter

Add blockNewsletter. Customize the headline and button in the Block panel.

  2. Publish and test

Publish, then open your page in a private / incognito window. Submit a test email. In Dashboard → Subscribers, the contact appears as Pending until they click the confirmation link (Flo uses double opt-in). After they confirm, status becomes Subscribed and they can receive broadcasts when your plan allows.

Free includes up to 250 subscribers. Broadcasts (newsletter sends) unlock on Creator5 per month on Creator, unlimited on Pro / Studio. See Subscribers overview.

Sell a product

  1. Create the product

Go to Dashboard → ProductsNew product. Enter a name, optional description, and price (use $0 for free; paid prices must meet Flo’s minimum charge, about $0.50 USD).

    Choose delivery:

    • Digital download — paste the delivery URL fans receive after purchase
    • Manual delivery — you fulfill outside Flo; no URL required

Turn Active on and click Create product. Caps: 3 products on Free, 10 on Creator, unlimited on Pro / Studio.

  2. Add Digital download on the page

In the builder, Add blockDigital download, then select your product in the Block panel.

  3. Connect Flo Payments (paid products)

For any price above $0, complete Settings → Flo Payments before expecting checkout to work. See the payments section below. Platform fees on paid sales: 5% (Free), 3% (Creator), 2% (Pro), 1% (Studio), plus $0.50 per transaction — Flo Payments.

  4. Test checkout

After the earnings account shows Active, open your live page in a private window and complete a real test purchase (use a small amount). Confirm the sale under Dashboard → Products or Dashboard → Wallet, and that the delivery URL works for digital products.

Sell a course

  1. Create the course

Dashboard → Courses → create a course, add at least one lesson, and set pricing. Free allows 1 course; Creator allows 3; Pro / Studio are unlimited.

  2. Add Course block

In the builder, Add blockCourse and select the course in the Block panel.

  3. Payments and test

Paid enrollment needs Flo Payments (Active). After purchase, students use your course URL under myflo.link/yourname/courses/.... See Courses overview.

Membership or booking (Creator+)

Creator plan required
  1. Upgrade or confirm Creator+

Membership and Book a Session blocks are not available on Free. Upgrade under Settings → Billing & plan if the block library shows a lock on those types.

  2. Membership path

Dashboard → Memberships — create a membership and tiers ( Creator: 1 membership, up to 3 tiers). Add a Membership block and select it. Members use the portal at myflo.link/yourname/portal after subscribing. See Memberships overview.

  3. Booking path

Open Dashboard → BookingsAvailability tab (timezone, weekly hours, buffers). On the Offers tab, create a booking offer (Creator: 2 services; Pro / Studio: unlimited). In the builder, add Book a Session and select the offer. Free bookings skip payment; paid sessions need Flo Payments Active.

Connect Flo Payments (before you charge money)

You can Publish while payments are still verifying. Fans can still view your page and join your email list. Paid products, courses, memberships, and paid bookings will not complete checkout until your earnings account is ready.

  1. Open Settings → Flo Payments

From the dashboard, go to SettingsFlo Payments (/settings/payments).

  2. Start setup

Click Set up your earnings account (or Continue setup if you started already). The guided flow has 5 steps: identity, business type, bank account, any requested documents, and review.

  3. Submit and wait for Active

After submission, status may show Pending while verification runs. When ready, the Earnings account card shows Active — that is when paid checkout can succeed. If more information is needed, status shows Action required; open setup and complete the requested fields or uploads.

  4. Confirm in Wallet

After your first sale, open Dashboard → Wallet for pending and available balances and payout timing. Default payouts are weekly (Fridays) with a $10 USD minimum available balance. See Flo Payments and Connect payments.

Bank account is required

Identity alone is not enough — payouts stay disabled until a valid bank account is connected and verified.
